...Foxx is part of a team of Republican members that House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) has put together to create embarrassing, YouTube-worthy moments for vulnerable Democratic freshmen.

Cantor’s floor staff has created a photo album to help identify the 42 most vulnerable Democrats. The aides send daily e-mails to the members of the attack team and alert lawmakers when these targeted members are speaking on the floor. They even draft quick scripts to help focus the questioning.

So this is what Republicans think America wants: Congress slowed down by non-sequiter beatdowns. There are those who think we want bipartisan, effective governance, but Eric Cantor knows that the real road to popularity is to pursue the exact opposite.

If the tactic of ambushing the new kids seems familiar, it is... it's how high school bullies operate. Also publically ridiculing the gay kids and belittling the foreign exchange students.

The thing to remember about bullies is that nobody really admires them. The only friends they have are weaklings, people who cozy up to them in order to avoid a beating of their own. It's why they make such lousy leaders.
