Taking A Stand Against Wise Latinas

WASHINGTON — The Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday voted to approve
Sonia Sotomayor as the first Hispanic Supreme Court justice over nearly solid
Republican opposition, paving the way for a historic confirmation vote next
week.

The panel voted 13-6 in favor of Sotomayor, with just one Republican,
Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, joining Democrats to support her. The
nearly party-line tally masked deeper political divisions within GOP ranks about
confirming President Barack Obama's first high court nominee.

This will surely put the Republicans over the top in 2010 - as long as only white older males are voting. If anyone else weighs in, it's another two years of supermajority for the current weasels. Don't forget to publicly blame Michael Steele for this, boys!

  1. So they should have voted for a racist to get votes? That sounds too much like a Democrat thang.

  2. Did Obama voting against Roberts and Alito cost him White votes in 2008?

Did Biden and Friends voting against Clarence Thomas cost the Democrat Party Black votes?

  3. Let's put it this way - you can still win the Latino vote, but you'll have a lotta 'splainin' to do.
