A Word About the Suit

This is how I looked at the New Media Expo today. My strategy was twofold:

a. Distinguish myself from the typical podcaster in the t-shirt with the orange Cheetos stains: and

b. The women go crazy for a sharp-dressed man, if you follow me.

In fact I barely rated a notice. ESPECIALLY from the women. Just now, as I was wandering around Bally's waiting for the show, a guy asked if I worked here because he was looking for the bathroom.

Let's call this a failed social experiment.

Jonathan Coulton!

Just stumbled upon geek musical genius Coulton. The thing about internet fame is even though its limited, it has the same effect on you. I'm blown away.

Why the New Media Expo is in August

Slow news days.

Then Again...

Google sponsoring a slot machine wouldn't make sense... But PAYPAL would be a natural. Plus conceivably they could set it up that your winnings could be emailed to you.

Once they overcame the massive security problems of course.

I Don't Know What To Make of This

Its a slot machine at Bill's on the strip. Can GOOGLE! Be far behind?

Like I Said, Zune

I mean come ON.

Brian Ibbot

DARK MEAT is modeled after COVERVILLE, the best podcast ever. Here is Mr Ibbott, the guy behind that show, selling me tickets to the Coverville concert tomorrow night.

LEO LAPORTE

What is he talking about? Who knows.

I've only been on the New Media Expo floor for a half hour and I'm already exhausted. Dominant themes: video, leverage. Weirdest sub-theme: Zunes. Nice timing there Ballmer!
