I'm being a little unfair, ridiculing the teabaggers. Aside from thinking that the next Republican President would hold the inauguration ceremony on a Sunday and having an unhealthy fascination with PBS children's show characters (and specifically demanding we plunge the world into the 2nd great depression) their hearts are in the right place.
The Boston Tea Party was a protest against usurious taxation by the British. These are working class people, the backbone of the nation, not the elite 2 percent of wealthy Americans. If this grass-roots demonstration makes Obama realize that the working folks should have gotten a tax cut, then their efforts will have been worth it!
Otherwise, it's a little inexplicable.

Is that a chick under all that stuff??
Oh, and it doesn't surprise me that lefties "don't get it." If they did they'd be far more patriotic than they are.
I think the problem is that most of the people attending the rally didn't get it either. The most coherent statment I got from any of the interviews I saw was "Government Bad!"
I suppose it is to you guys, now that Democrats are in the majority, but hey, that's the election's fault. Blame the rest of America.
