I actually stayed in on Independence Day. It was partially to declare my independence, and partially to recover from heat stroke and regain my hearing after an evening in Culver City enjoying Peace Frog, a Doors cover band. Had a great time, and I even don't regret missing the Freddie Mercury cover band a few blocks over.
I also feared running into one of the hundreds and thousands of massive Tea Party protests that happened all across the nation. After all, I LIKE taxes. They'd have shot me.

Comprehension issues again.. Clearly.
The TEA parties are not for ELIMINATING all taxes. They stand for Taxed Enough Already (T.E.A.). Get it?
Some taxes are necessary. I like those taxes, as well, and the services they provide. Many additonal taxes are not necessary.
That is what the TEA parties are all about. Enough with the massive tax additions already.
Maybe you should try attending one next time. You and Jeanne Garafolo. You both might learn something, instead of making comments which show you clearly don't know what you're talking about.
Again.
Talking about comprehension issues - where did I say that I thought the Tea Parties were about eliminating taxes? Not here! And since you're Ronald Reagan, you can't tell me you remember it from somewhere else.
