I'm Not Convinced Yet That America Hates Obama

Via Daily Variety:

The Peacock also fared well with its “Inside the Obama White House” special hosted by Brian Williams, where viewers got a look at the day in the life of the new president and the staff who work with him. ...“Inside the Obama White House” (2.6/7, 9.1m), which airs its second hour at 9 p.m. tonight, won the hour Tuesday over “The Mentalist” (2.3/7, 10.8m).
Though hey, it's a free country. Despise whom you want.

When have I said Obama hates America?

It should be really easy to find that on my blog, right?

You are saying that 9.1 million viewers "proves" America loves Obama? What does it say about the 17 million that tuned in for Conan O'Brien's first show?

Almost twice as many Americans love Conan than the President, according to your logic.

Do I even have to mention that Conan came on later?

And yes, I meant to type "America hates Obama" in my earlier comment.

it was kind of the thrust of this:

Especially toward the end of the comments. Plus all those posts about his rapidly declining poll numbers. I haven't checked lately, but they must be in Bush territory by now!

Please enlighten me as to how you get that I implied America hates Obama from the link you provided.

"Hate" is a strong word, and words matter. Putting a word like that in my mouth is disengenious at best. Correct what you wrote, or show m where I am wrong.

People like Obama the person, but dislike his policies.

Okay, I'm backing off "hate". Glad to see you taking an interest in nuance after that murder/killer discussion.

And allrighty, his policies. Check. Confidentially, I felt the same way about Bush.

Nuance has nothing to do with what you claimed I said. It was an outright falsehood, and you know it.

Hence my backing down. Much like you will one day on the "Obama is lying about his Muslim heritage" thread.
